City breathes air of pongala

 Women have begun to flow in to the city, and it now fills the air of pongala. Vendors have lined the roadsides with pots, snacks and curios and everywhere its a festive mood. Streets seem illuminated  with colourful electric lights hanging own from the trees, and shops and buildings gleaming with light. From tomorrow there would be a steady flow of women until the city turns into an ocean of women on Sunday, the pongala day.
