Kuthiyottam vratham begins





Kuthiyottam vratham as part of the Attukal temple festival began at 8.30 in the morning today with hundreds of children dedicating themselves to the divine patronage of the goddess.  The children as kuthiyottams accompany the goddess in procession to the Sastha temple, Manacaud; in the evening after the famous Attukal pongala. Attukal pongala falls on March 5, 2015.

Attukal temple festival began today with the traditional kappukettu and kudiyiruthu at 8.00am in the morning. Thousands of devotees filled the temple premises to watch the ceremony and accept the divine blessings of the goddess. Attukal pongala falls on March 5

Kochiravila temple festival concludes today




Annual festival of Konchiravila temple, concludes tonight with the traditional kappazhikkal ceremony. The temple situated within two kilometres of Attukal temple, has Goddess Bhadrakali as diety.

All set for Attukal Pongala

 Elaborate preparations are underway for this year´s Attukal Pongala which falls on March 5, 2015. From the civic bodies to the temple administration everything is done on an emergency footing, to ensure that Attukal Pongala like in previous would be celebrated with its divine sanctity. A festival moods prevails in the Thiruvananthapuram city, as festivals of many temples have already begun.
